To provide a technology which prevents the adhesion of metal iron and/or wustite which is generated by the heat reduction of an iron oxide contained in powder derived from an agglomerated product without largely changing the design of a facility, when manufacturing the metal iron by putting the agglomerated product with a mixture of an iron-oxide containing substance and a carbonic reduction agent as a raw material on a furnace bed of a moving furnace-bed type heating furnace, and heating it, and reducing the iron oxide in the agglomerated product.
A furnace bed forming material for avoiding the adhesion of the metal iron and/or the wustite which is formed by the heat reduction of the iron oxide contained in the powder derived from the agglomerated product on the furnace bed is put into the furnace together with the agglomerated product.
