Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition capable of improving on-ice brake performance, a method for producing the same, and a method for producing a tire.SOLUTION: Provided is a rubber composition comprising not-gelled water-absorbed carrageenan with the average particle diameter of 75 to 500 μm by 0.5 to 20 pts.mass to 100 pts.mass of diene rubber. Also provided is a method for producing a rubber composition comprising: a non-pro-milling step where a reinforcing filler is added to the diene rubber, and they are mixed; and a pro-milling step where a vulcanizer is added to the mixture obtained in the non-pro-milling step, and mixing is performed. In the rubber composition, moisture in the carrageenan is steam-foamed upon vulcanization to form pores in the rubber, an effect of removing a water film in a road face on ice is exhibited, and on-ice brake performance is improved.SELECTED DRAWING: None
