This mat material is produced by superposing the skin materials 13 and 14 comprising a cloth on the surface of a core 12 made of urethane foam and bonding them by an adhesive 15. The core 12 is made preferably of an explosion-treated urethane foam, and the skin material 13 or 14 is preferably a needle-punched nonwoven cloth.
