To provide the material receiving device of a chipper for continuously receiving a material to be cut at the time of cutting over a period from the start of cutting to the completion of cutting to achieve the enhancement of cutting properties, the homogenization of chips and the extension of an edge tool grinding period.
The material receiving device of the chipper is constituted so that the material to be cut is supported on a material receiving stand when it is cut by the chipper knives attached to a rotary disc. The shape of the material receiving stand is formed into an almost triangular shape gradually expanded from the central part of the material receiving stand toward both ends thereof in the direction crossing the axis of the material to be cut at a right angle and gradually expanded toward the chipper knives in the longitudinal direction of the axis of the material to be cut.
