Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simple and reliable handling in a measurement system for measuring a stationary or rotary type material removing tool in a machine tool.SOLUTION: A non-contact type or contact type measurement system has multipurpose interface sockets 300 for housing and connecting a non-contact type or contact type measurement device having an optical transmitter and a light receiver, and measures a position of a tool in a machine tool or measures the longest cutting edge of a rotary tool. The multipurpose interface socket has the following features: at least one mechanical locking portion which corresponds to an opposite side locking portion on the measurement device, houses the measurement device on the multipurpose interface sockets and repeatedly installs the device, at least one second signal transfer point on the multipurpose interface sockets corresponding to the first signal transfer point on the measurement device, and at least one second fluid transfer point on the multipurpose interface sockets corresponding to the first fluid transfer point on the measurement device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
