Abstract:

PURPOSE: To offer a measuring device for flow rate of sucked air free from influences of the turbulent flow and pulsatory flow of sucked air and a backfire, by excluding the backfire while commutating the sucked air flow.

CONSTITUTION: At the upper part of throttle chamber 1, mesh-shaped air buffer member 10 is provided which commutates a sucked air flow and excludes the backfire of a cylinder. The air sucked into throttle chamber 1 passes through main corridor 2 and by-pass corridor 3. At halfway points of by-pass corridor 3, hot-wire resistor 4 for air flow rate measurement and resistor 5 for temperature compensation are provided in parallel with a step and then connected to an electronic circuit equipped in driver module 6 via lead wires.
