Abstract:

To provide a small, lightweight and low cost media cartridge, and a liquid ejection recorder employing the media cartridge in which a problem of deteriorating the quality of recording image can be avoided.

The media cartridge 1 has a section 9 for containing a body side pickup roller 101 when the media cartridge is set in a printer 100 and stacking it on a recording medium 5. When the cartridge is set, position of the central axis of the pickup roller 101 is confined within the thickness of the media cartridge 1 (length in the direction intersecting the recording face of the recording medium perpendicularly).
