Title:
MELTING FURNACE FOR NONFERROUS METAL AND METHOD FOR MELTING NONFERROUS METAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011237056
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a melting furnace for nonferrous metal in which a device for circulating molten metal is not space-consuming and furthermore a device for sinking submitted nonferrous metal is not space-consuming as well, and to provide a method for melting nonferrous metal.

A melting furnace 30 for nonferrous metal which circulates the molten metal internally and melts the submitted nonferrous metal includes a melting furnace 31 which heats the molten metal, wherein it includes at least a pair of opposite electrodes 33 spaced at a predetermined interval in a horizontal direction while being immersed in the molten metal in the melting furnace 31, and a magnet 34 to generate a magnetic field which intersects roughly perpendicular to a current flowing between the pair of electrodes 33 while being arranged at least on one side of the upper part and the lower part of the melting furnace 31, and wherein it includes a rectifier 35 which gives a thrust force to the molten metal, further connects to the pair of electrodes 33, and causes the current flowing between the pair of electrodes 33 to be a pulsating current.
