Title:
MELTING FURNACE WITH INDUCTION HEATING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012032357
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To stir a conductive liquid to be heated excellently in a non-contact manner.

A melting furnace includes: a container 2 which stores a conductive liquid 1 therein and of which at least the surrounding wall 2a becomes a heating element 3; and a heating coil device 4 which is provided outside of the container 2, performs induction heating on the heating element 3, and generates a current path in a circumferential direction within the conductive liquid 1 so as to generate an upward electromagnetic force F which stirs the conductive liquid 1. On an inner circumferential surface of the heating element 3, a plurality of fin-like partitions 5 are provided at intervals in the circumferential direction, which are elongated vertically, pass through the current path 10 and have higher electrical conductivity and heat conductivity than those of the conductive liquid 1. The heating coil device 4 generates the electromagnetic force F in an inter-partition area 9.
