To provide a member for an arm which has the plural number of through holes and is inexpensive in manufacturing costs, and a manufacturing method of a member for an arm, by which the members can be manufactured efficiently.
A member A1 for an arm is composed of two divided pieces 10 being divided by a dividing line connecting through holes 4, 3. Both dividing pieces 10 have identical shape and identical dimension to each other, and are manufactured from an aluminum or aluminum alloy extruded shape material. Then, the divided pieces 10 are assembled into a desired shape. Further, the divided pieces 10 are jointed (jointing part W) and integrated at a given portion by friction agitation jointing. Thereby, the member A1 for an arm is manufactured.
