A carbon nanotube having excellent properties is mixed with a metallic material to add wettability etc. inherent in metals, by which the resultant mixed material can be used as a material for a soldering iron tip etc. having long life and high electric conductivity. Moreover, the carbon nanotube can be used as an adsorbent for nitrogen and oxygen by being granulated or mixed, as a binder, with activated carbon and resin-granulated carbon.
