To provide various techniques including information from respective modes of an optical cavity output light.
This method of the present invention includes a photosensing step for sensing the output light from an optical cavity, capable of providing the light in one or more of modes in a group, wherein the output light includes an intensity function in each as to one or more of modes in the group of modes, wherein the intensity function in at least one mode out of the respective modes includes information as to an optical characteristic of a specimen existing within the optical cavity or optical characteristic in a region of the optical cavity, and the step for sensing the output light is provided with a step for providing an electrical signal, depending on the optical characteristic, and a step for acquiring the information about the specimen or region, using the electrical signal.
