METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING POLYETHYLENE SHEET LAMINATED WITH PRIMER

PURPOSE: To improve the shape retentivity of a polyethylene sheet coated with primer by heating the primer coating surface of the sheet without bringing heating means into contact with the primer coating surface to fusion bond the primer to the sheet, and cooling the other surface without coating the primer.
CONSTITUTION: A polyethylene sheet 1 coated on one side surface with primer 2 is wound on a water-cooled roll 4 with the primer coating surface disposed at the outside. The roll 4 is rotated in the state that a tension is applied to the sheet 1 by a take-up roll to move the sheet 1, and hot air is blown to the primer coating surface to heat it. Thus, the primer 2 is fusion bonded to the sheet 1. The other surface not coated with the primer 2 of the sheet 1 is cooled by the roll 4 in parallel with the heating. A heater 7 has a structure 6 in which slits 5 are formed along the lateral direction of the sheet.
