Abstract:

PURPOSE: To take countermeasures, e.g. cleaning or replacement, before the detection of oxygen concentration is adversely effected by coupling a soldering apparatus and a filter through transparent piping thereby visually confirming the contamination on the inside of the piping.
CONSTITUTION: When an oxygen densitometer 1 sucks gas from the inside of a nitrogen soldering unit through a built-in pump, the gas advanced through graduated transparent piping 12 toward the densitometer 1. The piping 12 is contaminated at the part immediately in front of an active carbon filter 7 where impurities adhere and the contaminated part gradually spreads inward. Since a transparent pipe is employed in the piping 12 provided with graduations on the outer circumferential surface thereof, spread of contamination can be determined quantitatively at a glance. The timing for replacing the filter 7 can be estimated easily based on the relationship between the extent of contamination and the service life of the filter 7. Contaminated piping 12 can be replaced or cleaned together with the filter 7, with such arrangement, contamination can be recognized easily before the detection of oxygen concentration is adversely effected and countermeasures, e.g. cleaning or replacement, can be taken.
