Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the generation of sagging which deteriorates quality and lowers productivity caused by widening of a web by introducing a tenter with the web to be peeled off from the support of a cast part slanted to a horizontal plane. SOLUTION: Cellulose triacetate is dissolved in a good solvent, e.g. methylene chloride, to make dope. The dope is sent quantitatively to a die 2 by a pressure gear pump and others and cast on a support 3, and a web 1, after transferred around the support 3, is peeled off at a peeling point 4. The web 1 is dried while being transported by a group of rolls 6 or a tenter 8 to make a cellulose triacetate film. The web peeled off at the peeling point 4, after passing through a transportation apparatus slanted to a horizontal plane, is introduced to the tenter 8 slanted similarly. By introducing into the tenter 8 at an angle, sagging due to its own weight is eliminated, and the width is held by the tenter 8. In this way, a wide cellulose acetate film with good quality can be obtained.
