SOLUTION: In a method for producing a tube or a container having a flange part on the periphery of a tubular part, the end face of a continuous extension body 3 is contacted with the periphery of the tubular part of the formed tube or the container 1, the end part of the extension body including the end face is heat-melted, the tubular part is moved around in the tubular periphery direction, prescribed torque is given to the extension body toward the tubular part, the extension body is sent out in the contact direction, the displacement of the extension body in the direction crossing the sending direction of the extension body during the rotation of the tubular part is detected, and the rotation speed of the tubular part is made variable corresponding to the quantity of the displacement.
