Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce can manufacturing cost, to prevent coolant from splashing and mist from being generated and to improve the working environment without increasing the amount of consumption of the coolant though the working speed of a punch is increased.

CONSTITUTION: Nozzle rings 26a-26c formed by facing ejecting nozzle tips 42, 52 to eject coolant in the tangential direction to a reciprocating punch 31, to liquid receiving holes 43, 53 to carry away the received ejected coolant to the outside of a punch advancing passage hole are mounted respectively before dies 25a-25c and plural fine linear ejecting fluids of coolant in contact with the outer periphery of a punch or a cup are formed directly before the die holes. When the punch 31 is retreated outside the punch advancing passage hole, the ejected coolant is exhausted at once outside the punch advancing passage hole and when the punch passes in the punch advancing passage hole, the coolant is not exhausted to make a stream enclosing all outer periphery of the punch or cup.
