Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus of treating excrement, which processes excrement of a sleeper on a mattress or in a bed in a manner making generation of odor nil that is due to leakage of the excrement.SOLUTION: The invention is characterized in that a long groove 2 for excrement is installed substantially in the center and along the longitudinal direction of the mattress 1, that a prevention sheet 4 for covering the upper face of the mattress 1 and the long groove 2 is provided, and that a vacuum box 33 having vacuum means is inserted in the long groove 2. In the mattress 1 equipped with an excrement processing box 50, while the opening 5a of a bag body 5 of the prevention sheet 4 in the excrement processing box 50 of the mattress 1 and the opening 33a of the vacuum box 33 is closed hermetically and with watertightness, urination and defecation discharged in the long groove 2 for excrement of the mattress 1 in the excrement processing box 50 can be collected in the vacuum box 33 by sucking through the vacuum action of the vacuum box 33.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
