Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a good and sound die casting product without internal defect by a rheocasting method.
CONSTITUTION: In the rheocasting method in which semisolidified metallic slurry is charged to a sleeve of a die casting machine after receiving the semisolidified slurry discharged from a semisolidified metal producing device in a heat insulating vessel and then subjected to the injection formation, the solid phase ratio of the semisolidified metal received in the vessel is made to be in the range of 0.20-0.40. By this method, the reduction of cost and the improvement of productivity and workability are attained.
