Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method and compsn. for removing nonpolar stains from a fabric by bringing a mixture of densified carbon dioxide and a cleaning additive into contact with the stains.
CONSTITUTION: Nonpolar stains of a fabric are brought into contact with a fluid medium being either one of densified carbon dioxide and a supercritical fluid and a nonpolar cleaning additive mixed with carbon dioxide, for example, 5-24C paraffin to be removed. The above mixture can be used as a cleaning agent of a dry cleaning process.
