In an operating system of the hot stove for continuously supplying hot air of prescribed quantity and temperature into a blast furnace BF by parallel connecting four sets of hot stoves 1HS-4HS between the blast furnace BF and a blower BL while lapping in order the blasting periods of the respective hot stoves 1HS-4HS, blasting butterfly valves BBV1-BBV4 for controlling the blasting into the respective hot stoves from the blower BL at the respective hot stoves 1HS-4Hs and a control apparatus 45 for controlling the opening degree of the respective blasting butterfly valves BBV1-BBV4 are provided. The control apparatus 45 is operated as the followings, that is, in the blasting period in one cycle of the respective hot stoves 1HS-4HS, the average opening degree of the blasting butterfly valves BBV1-BBV4 at the first half is made to be larger than the average opening degree at the second half, or the opening degree of the respective blasting butterfly valves BBV1-BBV4 at the first half is made to be larger than the opening degree at the second half.
