Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp parts stock more accurately for each process.
SOLUTION: A production instruction computer 23 acquires product-specifying bar codes from a bar code reader 22 installed at a finished product inspection stage on a production line 21 and, based on the codes, develops information of part level indicating the types and quantities of parts. The computer 23 calculates the quantity of each type of parts used for the quantity of manufactured products. The quantities of parts in stock at each process are calculated by using the quantities of parts used and the quantities of parts transferred to the respective processes by the parts dolly 26.
