Abstract:
To provide a method for controlling a shape measuring device, capable of smoothly continuing the movement of a probe even when a difference between an actual shape and design data on a workpiece is large.SOLUTION: A probe having a gage head at the tip is controlled by a manual controller. While advancing the probe in the direction and at the speed based on the direction and magnitude inputted by the manual controller, the control is performed so that an indentation amount of the probe into a workpiece is kept at a reference indentation amount. Here, the movement command of the probe is generated in accordance with a velocity synthesis vector V expressed by the following equation: Gf×VFrev3+Ge×Ve. A traveling vector VF is set as a vector having the direction and magnitude inputted by the manual controller. A profiling direction vector VFrev3 is obtained by rotating the traveling vector VF so as to be perpendicular to a probe displacement vector Ep within a plane including the probe displacement vector Ep and the traveling vector VF.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 33
