Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve control accuracy by changing the parameters of a predicting formula to calculate the friction coefficient between a material to be rolled and rolling rolls and the deformation resistance, between the final pass and the other passes, in control of the plate thickness of a cold rolled sheet.

CONSTITUTION: The friction coefficient between the material 2 to be rolled and the rolling rolls 4, 4 and the deformation resistance of the material 2 to be rolled are calculated by a function using plural parameters and the coefficients of these parameters are changed between the final pass and the other passes in control of the plate thickness of the cold rolled sheet of plural passes to calculate the friction coefficient and the deformation resistance. Thus, the predicting accuracy is improved, the predicted rolled load, the forward slip ratio, the motor torque, etc., are calculated accurately, the variation of the plate thickness can be reduced and the yield of the rolling material can be improved.
