To provide a method for detecting weight information on weaving, by which the relation of the length of a woven fabric to its weight and the relation of the length of a woven fabric to the woven fabric weight can accurately be detected and the relation of the length of the woven fabric to its weight and the relation of the length of the woven fabric to the woven fabric weight can be controlled in target ranges, respectively.
This method for detecting the weight information on weaving is characterized by measuring the weight of a woven fabric-winding roll 14 loaded in a loom 1 or the weight of a warp-delivering beam 3 (50, 64) for a measuring period in a weaving process, and determining the relation of the length of the woven fabric 8 to its weight and the relation of the length of the woven fabric to the woven fabric weight from the measured weight and the length information of the woven fabric for the measuring period on the woven fabric-winding roll 14 or the warp-delivering beam 3. This apparatus for detecting the weight information on the weaving is characterized by comprising a weight-measuring device 30 for detecting the weight of the woven fabric-winding roll 14 for winding up the woven fabric 8, a woven fabric length-measuring device 32 for detecting the length of the woven fabric, and a weight-detecting device 33 for determining the relation of the length of the woven fabric to its weight from the changed weight information of the woven fabric-winding roll 14, detected with the weight-measuring device 30 for the measuring period, and from the woven fabric length detected with the woven fabric length-measuring device 32 for the measuring period.
