PURPOSE: To improve operability by supporting plural shape bodies for supporting socks at the peripheral part of a circular plate, inspecting both side faces of the socks supported by the shape bodies, performing a pressing processing and a drying processing after the inspection and separately discharging defective socks thereafter.
CONSTITUTION: Plural shape bodies 10 for supporting socks are supported at the peripheral part of a circular plate 1 freely rotatable around a shaft 12, the socks are attached onto the shape bodies 10 when the shape bodies 10 are at a loading position and a visible side face of the socks is inspected by an operator. Then, when the circular plate 1 performs pitch rotation, by the engagement with a cam of the stylus of the shape bodies 10, the shape bodies 10 are rotated around a shaft 13 and the other side face of the socks is inspected. When a defect is found by the inspection, by operating a push button connected to a control system, the position of the shape body 10 supporting the defective sock is stored in a memory. Thereafter, the socks are pressed in a steam processing chamber 4, dried in a drying chamber 5 and then taken out onto a conveyor and the defective socks are recovered to a gathering container.
