Abstract:

PURPOSE: To execute a feed forward control for plate thickness excellent in responsiveness and responsibility.

CONSTITUTION: While rolls are rotated under a kiss roll state prior to rolling, an amount of displacement of a roll gap corresponding to the turning angle of each of upper and lower backup rolls 2a, 2b is detected and stored while the roll gap is adjusted so that the rolling load becomes a prescribed value. Amounts of eccentricity of upper and lower backup rolls 2a, 2b are obtained based upon these detected results, a plate thickness on the outlet side of a rolling stand is obtd, based upon an actual rolling load, an amount of displacement of the roll gas and an amount of eccentricity of the rolls in the following rolling work and the plate thickness on the outlet side is tracked up to the next stand corresponding to the rolling speed to adjust the amount of the roll gap of the next stand corresponding to the plate thickness on the outlet side.
