Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent an error in and abnormality of the generation of format information and to automatically generate highly precise format information.
CONSTITUTION: Plural documents 11-1z given the same document ID are read by a photoelectric converting means 31, and a format information generating means 41 generates plural pieces of format information from the read document images by using a format generation rule. A comparing and selecting means 42 compares pieces of OK format information among the generated pieces of format information with each other, selects one piece of most averaged OK format information out of pieces of OK format information whose differences are less than a specific margin value by majority decision making, and outputs the selected information as format information corresponding to the document ID.
