To provide the method and device for generating working plan by which the placement of workers can be appropriately adjusted correspondingly to the fluctuation of the number of parts to be packed on each packing line of a physical distribution center.
The arrival number and arrival time of expected arrival parts are inputted. Then the number of packing parts of each packing line is found at every prescribed time zone which is decided by dividing the working hour of the line into a plurality of zones (A). After the number of packing parts is found, the appropriate number of workers for each time zone of each line is found by calculating the appropriate number of workers required from packing the parts within the pertinent time zone (B). Finally, the number of workers required for each time zone of each line is decided by assigning an appropriate number of workers to each time zone of each line and a worker placement plan in which the packing lines, time zones, and workers are correlated with each other is outputted (C and D).
