Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a cord without forming shape collapse in its core element.

This method for producing a steel cord by gathering sheath elements around core elements and stranding at a stranding part to produce the cord by arranging the sheath around the core is provided by, while introducing the core elements to the stranding part along an imaginary rotating shaft extending from the stranding part, introducing the sheath elements to the stranding part through a sheath elements-passing through passage set around the imaginary rotating shaft and rotating the sheath elements on the sheath elements-passing through passage around the imaginary rotating shaft to strand the sheath elements around the core elements.
