To obtain a high output for a beam and to attain continuity in the output waveform by using an optical fiber, making plural laser beams, which are pulse-modulated, lowoutput and continuously generated, enter a synthesizer so as to make them orthogonally cross mutually, and synthesizing into one beam.
In syhthesizing low output beams ultimately into one high output beam by a laser beam synthesizer, (a) a low output continuously generated laser is modulated for square wave pulse of approximately 30-100Hz (beam-a), and synchronously with this pulse, (b) the pulse oscillation laser is synthesized for a pulse width of 0.5m sec. or less and for the same peak output (beam-b). (c) this synthesized laser beam (high output beam-c) is controlled as if a constant-output waveform is turned out continuously. In other words, complete synchronization is attained so that the base output part a1 of the pulse- modulated continuously-generated laser beam-a is set with the high density pulse of the pulse oscillation laser beam-b. Consequently, a state can be produced as if the peak output of the beam-a and the high density beam output of the beam-b are continuous.
