Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device for reducing memory calling waiting time for selected data requested by a certain central processing unit(CPU) and recovered from the other CPU through a system control unit(SCU) based on a special data transfer cycle.

CONSTITUTION: The special data transfer cycle is provided with a first duplex operation mode for recognizing that transferred data are latest, simultaneously wiring the data transferred to the CPU 12 to the main memory of an SCU 4 and directly transferring them to the requesting CPU and a second duplex operation mode for confirming that only a part of the transferred data is latest, simultaneously writing the latest part of the transferred data inside an SCU memory and reading the written data so as to transfer them to the requesting CPU.
