To provide a fluid jet loom surly delivering a weft having a joint to a yarn-discharging device and making discharge possible by action of the device.

The loom 1 has a yarn-discharging device 21 on a yarn feeding side, inserts a weft 3 comprising a plurality of yarn feed packages 4 and 18 connected by a joint 20, wherein, before the joint 20 is ejected, a loom-stopping signal is output, the loom 1 is stopped in a state that a weft 3, inserted just before stopping the loom 1, is cut off from a weft in a weft-inserting nozzle 9, after stopping the loom 1, the weft 3 is inserted in a opening 11 of a warp 10 by the weft-inserting nozzle 9, receiving the weft 3 in front of the weft-inserting nozzle 9 with the yarn discharging device 21 and discharging the weft having the joint 20 by the yarn discharging device 21.
