To provide a draining apparatus for a rod-like workpiece which is capable of reliably removing water such as a washing liquid and a cutting liquid adhering to the rod-like workpiece having continuously arranged recesses and projected parts in the outer peripheral face just like a camshaft.
The draining apparatus is employed for removing water adhering to a camshaft W having continuously arranged recesses Wa and projected parts Wb in the outer peripheral face and comprises an air discharge port 6 with a discharge width B equal to or longer than the length of the camshaft W and the air discharge port 6 is equipped with a first air blow nozzle 1 installed in a manner that the air discharge port 6 is set on the opposite to the center axis Wc of the camshaft W from above, a second air blow nozzle 4 for discharging air 3 toward the bottom of the camshaft W in a direction approximately perpendicular to the direction of the air 2 discharged out of the first air blow nozzle 1, and transfer means for reciprocating the second air blow nozzle 4 along the camshaft W.
