The method includes: a gradation level alteration step (S105) in which a gradation level of image data is altered based on correction data corresponding to the gradation level; a dithering process step (S106) in which a dithering pattern including a combination of white and black in each predetermined area of the image data with an altered gradation level is converted into thereof corresponding to the altered gradation level; and a display section drive step (S108) in which based on image data converted into the dithering pattern, white electrophoresis particles and black electrophoresis particles are driven for a plurality of pixel circuits of a display section.
