Title:
METHOD FOR FLAME-RETARDING MODIFICATION OF POLYESTER YARN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011208310
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method for flame-retarding modification of a polyester yarn having durable flame retardancy and excellent productivity by firmly fixing a phosphorus compound to a polyester yarn by electron irradiation.

The polyester yarn having excellent flame-retardancy is produced in high efficiency by immersing a polyester yarn wound on a cheese bobbin in a treating liquid containing an emulsifying agent and a phosphorus-containing radically polymerizable compound, heating the yarn to exhaust the radically polymerizable compound in the polyester yarn, and irradiating the yarn with electron rays.
