To provide a method of forming a countersink and a dieing die by which a straight part, which remains in the lower end part of a through hole, is mostly made zero when forming the through hole on a planer workpiece into the countersink.
This method is a method of forming the countersink by pressing and deforming one end side of the through hole H punching the planar workpiece by a tapered part 23 provided at the tip of a punch of the punching die and, in this method of forming the countersink, the diameter of the other end side of the through hole H is reduced by making an annular projecting part 35 which is provided on the dieing die 5 opposing to the punching die 3 bite the workpiece W in the circumference of the other end side of the through hole H and a part of metal which is flowed by being pressed with the projecting part 23 is guided to the direction of the side of the other end part of the through hole H. The dieing die is provided with the annular projecting part 35 which bites the workpiece W in the circumference of the through hole H which is formed on the workpiece W when forming the countersink on the upper surface of the die body 25 for supporting the workpiece W.
