Abstract:

To provide a method for forming a woven fabric in which heald frame abrasion is reduced and fuzz and yarn breakage of a warp can be reduced to mass-produceable level even when a weaving rate is speeded up and provide a water jet loom.

When weaving is carried out in a water jet loom by using a filament yarn as the warp, the maximum opening amount (a) of a first heald on a cloth fell side in heald maximum opening, a distance (b) between a first heald and the cloth fell, the maximum opening amount (c) of a fourth heald of last tail and a distance d between the cloth fell and the back roller and a pitch (e) between heald frames each satisfy relationships represented by the following formulas: 30 mm≤(a)≤50 mm; 45 mm≤(b)≤90 mm; 40 mm≤(c)≤60 mm; 500 mm≤(d)≤900 mm and 8 mm≤(e)≤14 mm.
