Abstract:

To solve problems that a high-speed treatment is difficult because air in a fiber sheet such as a bulky nonwoven fabric or a fiber web absorbs heat when heat sealing of the fiber sheet is carried out and the heat quantity fed to thermal fusion of fibers is reduced to deteriorate the heat conduction efficiency in the sheet when the fiber sheet is nipped and pressed with sealing protrusions of rolls, and to provide a method for heat sealing the fiber sheet.

The method for heat sealing the fiber sheet is carried out as follows. The bulky fiber sheet 10 is fed to a spacing between pattern rolls 1 and 5 respectively having sealing protrusions 2 and 6 protruded and formed on the outer peripheral surfaces and thermal insulators 4 having elasticity and provided in parts other than the sealing protrusions 2 and 6. The sheet is nipped with the thermal insulators 4 to push out air therein. The sheet is then nipped and pressed with the sealing protrusions 2 and 6. Thereby, the heat conduction efficiency in the fiber sheet can be improved and fused parts 13 can be formed in a short time to carry out the high-speed treatment.
