Title:
METHOD FOR IMPREGNATION TREATMENT OF POROUS ARTICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04243506
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To efficiently treat waste washing water by using an impregnation solution wherein a predetermined water-insoluble monomer occupies the specific wt.% of a curable monomer and washing a porous article having the impregnation solution bonded thereto with washing water in the presence of a surfactant having a cloud point and heating the waste washing water to the cloud point or higher to separate the same into a monomer layer and a water layer.

CONSTITUTION: An impregnation solution wherein a water-insoluble monomer with water solubility of 3% or less occupies 29-100wt.% of a curable monomer is used and a porous article having the impregnation solution bonded thereto is washed with washing water in the presence of a surfactant having a cloud point and the recovered waste washing water is heated to the cloud point or higher to be separated into the water-insoluble monomer layer and the water layer to separately take out both layers. At the time of washing, the coexisting surfactant accelerates the dispersion of the curable monomer to efficiently wash off the unnecessary monomer on the surface of the porous article. When the waste washing water having the monomers dispersed therein is heated to the cloud point or higher, the surfactant is dehydrated to be separated from water and the monomer layer is also separated at the same time.
