To provide an industrially practicable fuel system allowing bi-fuel engine operating performance as well as an exclusive multipoint injection of an alternative fuel in a gasoline engine, etc.
In a multipoint fuel delivery system 10 having a fuel adjusting device 12 such as a fuel injector 14 which injects a controlled second fuel selectively into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine 16, fuel feed manifolds 22 and 24 direct the second fuel to the fuel injector. An intake port adapter mechanism 20 adapts to an intake port of the combustion chamber and receives fuel injection from the fuel injector 14. The intake port adapter mechanism 20 is engaged with the intake port, and can make the first or second fuel selectively flow into the intake port. A control mechanism 26 controls the flow of the second fuel passing the fuel injector.
