To prevent a bolt head portion and a nut from being exposed to the upper side of a cross beam and also facilitate an installation operation in a method for installing the cross beam of a vertical lattice of a balustrade on a support with bolts and nuts.
A bolt through-hole 25 is formed at the end of a cross beam 23 hung on the receiving seat 8 of a support beforehand. A bolt 28 is inserted into the cross beam, and a screw shaft portion 28b is inserted into the bolt through-hole 25. The bolt 28 is restricted to move, and positioned. After the bolt is installed, using a bolt holding member 21 having a groove 22 formed in the lower surface, to which the bolt head portion 28a is fitted, the bolt head portion is fitted into the groove by inserting from the end of the cross beam into the cross beam, and the bolt 28 is rotationally stopped. The bolt 28 is rotationally stopped by the bolt holding member 21, and the screw shaft portion 28b projects downward from the cross beam 23. Then, the screw shaft portion 28b is inserted through the support receiving seat 8, and the nut 34 is screwed onto the projecting end of the screw shaft portion and fastened.
