Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine for producing woven fabrics, enabling a weaving even with no beating, simplifying the action concerning weft handling, and facilitating enhancing the rate of the weaving.
SOLUTION: The machine works as follows. On inserting a weft 3 into a shed defined by healds 4 and 5, a cloth fell 6 moves to a position of the weft 3 indicated by a broken line while holding the rear end of a fabric 13. Cloth fell side nip rollers 8 rotate to join the weft 3 to the rear end of the fabric 13 and the cloth fell 6 moves to a position indicated by a real line. Since the weaving is made as the fabric 13 moves, a beating need not be made, thus the weaving can be carried out at high rate using as the weft 3 an opened yarn of flatly extended many carbon fiber bundles.
