To reduce the residual amount of the organic solvent of a cellulose film without reducing the quality of the film and without decreasing a production efficiency as much as possible in a method for manufacturing the cellulose film which manufactures the cellulose film having the steps of dissolving a cellulose ester in the solvent containing a predetermined organic solvent as a main component, regulating a polymer solution, forming a film-like material from the regulated polymer solution, and volatilizing the solvent in the film-like material.
The method for manufacturing the cellulose film comprises the steps of: adding a poor solvent having the highest boiling point of a substance contained in the solvent so as to contain 0.1 to 1.0 wt.% when the overall solvent in the regulated polymer solution is 100 wt.%; and regulating the polymer solution. In this method, the easiness of dissolving the cellulose ester in the poor solvent is lower than that of dissolving the cellulose ester in the organic solvent containing the solvent as the main component.
