Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an eddy current type deceleration apparatus capable of sharply reducing design time and reducing cost.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a deceleration apparatus includes a first setting step, a second setting step, a selection step, and an assembly step. The first setting step sets plurality of copper plating thickness values corresponding to levels of brake torque as to thickness of a copper plating layer formed on an inner peripheral surface of a rotor. The second setting step sets a plurality of rotor thickness values and cylinder sorts corresponding to the length of brake duration time as to the thickness of the rotor and a sort of an air cylinder. The selection step selects a combination of the copper plating thickness, the rotor thickness and the cylinder sort set in the first setting step and the second setting step on the basis of brake torque and the brake duration time required for the deceleration apparatus. The assembly step prepares a rotor and an air cylinder suited to the combination selected in the selection step and assembles the deceleration apparatus.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
