Abstract:

To provide a method for manufacturing a photographic photoreceptor capable of forming a photosensitive layer without causing repellence nor coating irregularity even when a coated surface of an undercoating layer has an uneven part, and to provide the electrophotographic photoreceptor, a process cartridge, and an image forming apparatus through which an image of good image quality can be obtained.

The method for manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor 100 which has at least a conductive base 3, a photosensitive layer 6 containing a charge generating substance, and the undercoating layer 4 which is arranged between the conductive base 4 and photosensitive layer while the undercoating layer contains metal oxide particles includes a photosensitive layer forming process of forming the photosensitive layer by preparing photosensitive layer forming coating liquid containing at least the charge generating substance and two kinds of solvents and coating the undercoating layer with the coating liquid. The two kinds of solvents that the coating liquid contains have a ≤35°C difference in boiling point and a 0.05 to 5.00 mPa s difference in viscosity.
