To provide a method of manufacturing a mat with slip stoppers efficiently disposed on the rear side of the mat by a simple device for preventing movement of the mat, capable of being inexpensively manufactured, changing the pattern of forming the slip stoppers according to mats with different shapes, kinds, sizes, etc., and applying appropriate antislip effects suitable for each mat.
The method of manufacturing the mat 1 is for manufacturing the mat 1 with a plurality of antislip projections 7 attached to the rear side 3 of a base fabric 2 of the mat 1. After setting a projection forming mold having a forming plate 9 with a plurality of perforations 8 for forming the antislip projections 7 on the base fabric 2 of the mat, an antislip material 16 is fed onto the forming plate 9 of the projection forming mold. Then, the antislip material 16 is forced out of the perforations 8 by a force-out member 17, and the antislip projections 7 are attached to the rear side 3 of the base fabric 2.
