To provide a method for manufacturing a polarizing plate with an optical compensation layer which does not deteriorate the optical compensation layer and is excellent in adhesion of a polarizer protective film and a polarizer.

The method for manufacturing the polarizing plate with the optical compensation layer includes a process of laminating the optical compensation layer via a photosetting type adhesive layer on one side of the polarizer protective film, a process of irradiating the polarizer protective film with UV rays from the other side thereof under air flow or inert gas atmosphere, and a process of laminating the polarizer on the side of the polarizer protective film not formed with the optical compensation layer.
