Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing textile for non-coated air big low in basis weight, excellent in compactness, having low air permeability, and economical.
SOLUTION: This low air permeability textile for non-coated air bag is manufactured from a thermoplastic fiber having 5-15% of shrinkage percentage of raw thread in boiling water, in the following processes, a process giving a shrinking treatment and a process giving a dry-setting at ≤160°C, and the pores composed of the thermoplastic fibers have a distribution value (PD) ≤2.0 expressed by formula (No 1), and has rate of air permeability ≤2.5 (L/cm2/min) under 20 kPa of differential pressure. The pore distribution: PD=(FDmax-FDmin)/ FDave (FDmax: maximum pore size (μm), FDmin: minimum pore size (μm), FDave: pore size of average flow rate (μm)).
