Abstract:
To provide a method used for obtaining evaluation of adhesive strength, in particular, original position evaluation thereof, of a coating for a substrate or an optional component, using an ultrasonic wave.
In this method of measuring the adhesive strength of the coating to the substrate, measurement is carried out in the air, an ultrasonic transducer is attached to the substrate using a thin film of gel, and a characteristic coefficient is calculated to be given by a ratio of amplitudes of echoes related to two initial reflections on a substrate/coating interface after passing through the substrate, or on a coating/air interface after passing through the substrate and the coating.
